Modified admission process starts at Delhi University for 2021 from July 15
Every year, Delhi University's (DU) colleges declare cut-offs (percentage marks secured in Class 12 Board exams) for admissions. Students are eligible to apply to the colleges as per cut-offs. In view of the cancelled Class 12 Board Exams, the admission process at DU is expected to be of a changed pattern. The admission process is likely to begin from July 15. DU is mulling conducting a Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) to admit students to the UG program, or by taking into account the evaluation done by each board. DU officials will hold discussions with the admission committee and the academic council of the university to finalise the process of admission to UG courses. DU expects that the various boards will choose a mature method of evaluation that could form the basis of the merit list cut-offs. A decision from the Education Ministry is also awaited on the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET).
