Schools in several states to resume in-person classes at schools and colleges from Feb 1

As the number of Covid-19 cases decline, several states have announced resumption of in-person classes at schools and colleges from February 14. Many states had allowed reopening of schools and colleges since the beginning of the month. Earlier, on February 2, 2022, the Central Government had issued a modified guidelines for reopening of schools in states and Union Territories (UTs) to decide at their level whether schools require consent from parents to allow students in classrooms.

States & UTs that have resumed offline classes on February 14:
Delhi: Nursery and Class 8 to reopen
Uttar Pradesh: Nursery, Classes 1 to 12, colleges and all other educational institutions
Chandigarh: All classes and coaching institutes will reopen with full capacity in hybrid mode
Meghalaya: Classes 1 to 5. Classes 6 to12, colleges and universities have already resumed
