Changes announced in NEET PG 2021 exam pattern

Major changes have been introduced in the Medical entrance exam- NEET PG exam for 2021 admissions. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Post-Graduation is held for admission to MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master in Surgery) and PG diploma courses. NEET 2021 is scheduled to be held on April 18. Last date for submitting applications is March 15. Students can apply at natboard.edu.in.

The changes for NEET PG 2021
Increase in Examination fee for all categories. Fee for general category increased from Rs 3,750 to Rs 5,015 (including GST), and for SC/ST and PWD categories from Rs 2,750 to Rs 3,835 (including GST).
Number of Exam centres to increase to 255 from 165.
Changes in Exam pattern - Total number of questions will be reduced to 200 MCQs, and the total marks from 1200 to 800.
Exam timings changed to '2 pm to 5:30 pm' from 3:30 pm to 7 pm.
Tie-breaking parameters reduced to 4 from 8 for candidates obtaining the same score - the number of more correct responses, number of less negative responses, older candidate and higher aggregate marks (in percentage).
